This project involved adaptations to the high-standard accommodation that was already under construction at Braemar Mountain Sports. This allowed the development to become suitable for use by those with a level of disability that would otherwise prevent them from using these facilities. The adaptations included:

  • Stairlift
  • Disabled Toilets + Showers
  • Built-in + Mobile Ramps
  • Hoist Compatible Doors
  • Electric Beds
  • Rise + Recline Furniture
  • Adjustable Heigh Furniture
  • Tricycle, Buggy, Tag-a-Long, Hand Tricycle + Piggy Back Bike Pram
  • Secure storage for bikes, buggies and other equipment
  • Outdoor sensory garden
  • Communal BBQ and Fire Pit

These adaptations met the overall aim of providing discrete facilities to allow those with a disability to enjoy a holiday in Braemar, in a relaxed, effective, welcoming and inclusive manner.
